At exactly 1; 49pm, Chief Amuda Olorunkosebi, the Ashipa of Oyo stepped out of the Agodi Prisons after 12 days out of a month imprisoned for contempt of court.

He was granted bail by the same Justice by Justice Kayode Ibidapo Obe who handed down his sentence.

6 year later, on November 26, 1992, Chief Amuda Olorunkosebi was waylaid on a lonely path to his farm by some assassins who snuffed life out of him in a callous manner. Believing that the Ashipa might not easily give up the ghost, his assailants did not use gun or cutlass on him. Rather, they allegedly overpowered him, twisted his neck, poured acid in his mouth and forced the liquid down his throat.

Investigations to find out who murdered the Ashipa of Oyo Kingdom proved abortive. The question will always remain ‘’who killed Ashipa Amuda Olorunkosebi?
