Twice Nobel Prize-awarded laureate Marie Sklodowska Curie with her two daughters Eve and Irène in 1908.

Marie Curie was the first woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics 1903 and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 1911.

Like her mother, Irène - Marie's oldest daughter - dedicated her life to science. Irène Joliot-Curie was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 1935.

Her daughter Eve became a concert pianist, journalist and diplomat. She also worked as the director of United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF, the organisation that was awarded the 1965 Nobel Peace Prize) in Greece.
